On Tuesday, December 12, the teams from South Africa and India squared off in the second Twenty20 International of their current series at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha. Following the first T20I match in Durban, which ended without a ball being bowled, both teams anticipated that the weather would improve for the second match. The Indian squad chose to bat first, and Rinku Singh performance immediately drew attention as he amassed an impressive 68 runs in 39 deliveries to lead his team to a competitive first-inning total of 180 runs. The great hitter discussed a conversation he had with captain Suryakumar Yadav after the game. He also offered an apology for smashing the commentator’s box window.

“It was challenging, and the only conversation I had with Surya while batting was for him to urge me to play my own game and keep playing the way I always do. When I walked out to bat, we were three wickets down.

In a video that the BCCI released, Rinku Singh stated, “I took my time to settle in because it was difficult at first, but eventually I started to understand the deliveries and performed well.”

He apologized, saying, “I hit a six and I did not know that the glass had been broken; you came and that is when I got to know.

The Proteas won because of Reeza Hendricks’ masterclass.

With five wickets remaining and an over to spare, South Africa won the match. The Proteas were chasing a revised goal of 152 runs in 15 overs after rain interrupted play. Opener Reeza Hendricks scored 49 runs in 27 deliveries, while Aiden Markram scored 30 runs off 17 deliveries.

The hosts, who lead the series 1-0, will be looking to seal the three-game series with a similar performance in the third Twenty20 International in Johannesburg on December 14.
