'De Do Bhaiya Bat' - Rinku Singh's humorous request for a bat from Suryakumar Yadav after Virat Kohli goes viral

Fans have once again become enthralled with India’s recently anointed T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and rising talent Rinku Singh in a humorous social media conversation. Their humour was reminiscent of a widely shared incident from earlier this year in the Indian Premier League.

During the 2024 Indian Premier League, Rinku Singh was observed asking Virat Kohli for a bat.

It feels like history is repeating itself now, albeit with a different main character. This interaction has made supporters happy as the Indian squad gets ready for their upcoming trip of Sri Lanka, which begins with the first Twenty20 International on July 27.

Yadav shared a story on social media with a picture of him and Singh talking, along with the message, “Theek hai bat le lena” (Alright, take the bat). Rinku was quick to reply, reposting the tale with the amusing comment, “De do bhaiya bat” (Give me the bat, brother).

On Monday, India arrived in Sri Lanka.

After arriving on the island nation on Monday, the Men in Blue wasted little time getting to practise the following day. Gautam Gambhir, the recently hired head coach, will be working on this tour. With Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja declaring their retirement from the game’s shortest format, Gambhir faces a formidable task in trying to transform the T20I team.

Yadav was selected to be the T20I captain in place of Hardik Pandya. Surya will be ready to take charge of the Men in Blue once more after leading them to victory twice in T20Is. After the T20I portion of the tour, there will be an ODI series in which Sharma will command the team, which will also include Kohli.
