Duleep Trophy 2024: In the massive run chase against India A, Ricky Bhui plays a resilient knock

India A and India D are now competing against each other in the Duleep Trophy 2024. They are working hard. India D, needing to win the game by chasing 488 runs in the second innings, found themselves in a highly vulnerable position. With Atharva Taide out for a duck and Yash Dubey opening the innings with 37 runs in 94 deliveries, India D’s run chase got off to a poor start.

But what kept India D in the match was 27-year-old Ricky Bhui’s tenacity. After losing a wicket, Bhui entered the bat and produced an incredible innings that repelled India A’s bowling attack. But Tanush Kotian was the bowler who eventually got rid of Bhui after he scored 113 runs and Riyan Parag dropped his catch.

Devdutt Padikkal was bowled out for just one run after failing to follow up his knock after Bhui’s wicket. Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer both scored forty and forty runs. In addition, after Ricky Bhui’s valiant efforts, India A’s bowling attack did a creditable job of restricting India D.

As he came to bat, Ricky Bhui amassed 113 runs off of 195 deliveries

After scoring 22 and 24 runs, respectively, Saurabh Kumar and Harshit Rana departed. India D managed to amass 301 runs by the 83rd over of the second innings, but they had also lost nine wickets.

Regarding India A, by the 83rd over, Tanush Kotian had claimed four wickets, making him the highest wicket-taker of the second innings. Along with Khaleel Ahmed, who claimed one wicket, Shams Mulani claimed three. In addition, Riyan Parag claimed one wicket to help India A win the match.
