Test series vs India could be tightly held till last game, Resources must be managed accordingly: Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins talked about his previous experience playing home Test series against India. The Australian captain stated that the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which starts next month, could be a taxing competition and that both teams would need to manage their resources effectively.

Australia will be looking for revenge after failing to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2017. During their last two Test trips in Australia, India defeated the Australians. Throughout the five-match Test series, Rohit Sharma and company will try to achieve a historic hat-trick. According to Cummins, the series will be hotly contested, which is why it’s critical to rotate the players.

“There has always been some attrition on India in the few home series I’ve played against them. Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald, Cummins stated that the final session at the Gabba on the final day of the final Test match determined the outcome of the series.

“That’s a good thing to keep in mind; it is a long series, and it might be tightly held until the last game, so you’ve got to manage your resources throughout,” the 31-year-old said.

I am aware that there is constant commentary on all things related to cricket: The Pat Cummins

It would be interesting to watch who opens with Usman Khawaja, so Cummins addressed all the buzz over Australia’s batting order.

“Ron and I will decide what to order. I am aware that there is constantly discussion about anything related to cricket. There’s still some water to cross because the series is still a ways off, but you listen to some and don’t listen to others, Cummins said.

Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney will all host Test matches. On November 22, the first Test will start. In the World Test Championship (WTC), Australia is ranked second, and India is ranked first. This gives the series much more interest and excitement.
