Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the premier bowler for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has commended his teammates Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal for bolstering the team’s bowling assault in the current IPL 2025. Due to their outstanding tournament performance, RCB is currently ranked second. This time, the bowling unit deserves most of the credit for helping the team win games at pivotal points.
Furthermore, the squad has benefited greatly from having the three front-line pacers on the pitch. The club didn’t have a strong pace bowling assault in the past, but this season has been different. As a result, they are also performing well in the points table.
Bhuvneshwar discussed each player’s strong strengths and bowling aspects. Additionally, he said that the three of them bowling together creates a completely distinct combination.
When it comes to Yash Dayal, Josh, and the three of us, we are all the same yet also distinct.
The three of us can swing it if we discuss the similar aspects. Josh Hazlewood, on the other hand, is taller, and Yash is a left-arm pacer, which contributes to a completely different aspect. The best aspect is that we can all bowl at any point throughout the game, and we have all done it. These attributes greatly enhance one another,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar stated, as cited by ESPNCricinfo.
Death bowling comes naturally to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar discussed death bowling and its philosophy, stating that it is “instinctive” and that bowlers can benefit from little preparation in dire circumstances. Teams often discuss strategies during the final overs, but the bowlers rarely carry out any of the plans.
“Death bowling comes naturally to you. It relies on the circumstances of the game as well as your thoughts. You plan things a certain manner when you have team meetings. However, when instinct takes over, you often execute it differently on the ground,” Kumar continued.
