Jaipur police have charged Yash Dayal, a fast bowler for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), with raping a juvenile. This comes after a woman in Ghaziabad filed a separate rape accusation against Dayal weeks prior.
Police officials claim that the most recent First Information Report (FIR) was submitted on July 23 in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The 19-year-old complainant, who wants to play cricket, claimed to have met Yash Dayal two years prior.
She told authorities that the alleged offence resulted from a friendship with Yash Dayal, who had promised to help her with her cricketing career. Investigations into the matter are ongoing, and further information is anticipated.
She was 17 at the time of the first rape attack in 2023. According to The Indian Express, the SHO stated that the most recent occurrence occurred in Jaipur in April 2025.
