Ravi Shastri says, "If the attitude was positive, India would have batted first." This makes him question India's choice to field first in the WTC final.

Ravi Shastri, who used to be the head coach of India, has attacked how India is playing in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. Shastri even asked Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, why he didn’t have a good attitude after he won the toss and chose to bat first instead of bowling. In fact, the former player for India was upset that Ravichandran Ashwin wasn’t on the Indian team for the big match.

The experienced Indian player also said that India knew from the start that if they won the toss, they would definitely bowl. This is why they chose four fast bowlers and one spin bowler for the final match.

On the other hand, if the team had a good attitude, they would have definitely batted and tried to play out the first session and then scored runs later as the conditions for batting got better over time.

“If you had a good attitude, you’d want to bat and try to get 250 runs in the first session. “Don’t think too big,” Shastri told the ICC after Stumps on Day 1: “250-260, and if the conditions got better and you stayed for the whole first session, you could have gotten more.”

Australia is in charge, and it’s up to Pat Cummins and the rest of his team to let India back into the game. Ravi Shastri
The senior India all-rounder also thinks that the only way India can get back into the game is to take early wickets with the second new ball on Day 2, and if they don’t do that, the game will slowly get away from them.

“Australia will have at least 200 more runs by tomorrow afternoon tea time. So think catches and try to make the second new ball count in the first 45 minutes of play. “If Australia wants to bat for two and a half sessions tomorrow, and if things keep going the way they are, they could get to 600 or more,” Shastri said.
