‘India have every chance of making it a hat-trick’ – Ravi Shastri projects the result of the Border Gavaskar Trophy for 2024–25

"The Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia over five Test matches is going to be a humdinger; remember, India have beaten Australia twice on the last two tours," Shastri wrote.

‘India have every chance of making it a hat-trick’ - Ravi Shastri projects the result of the Border Gavaskar Trophy for 2024–25

The future result of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 was foretold by former Indian cricket player Ravi Shastri, who took centre stage. Shastri predicted that India would defeat Australia in the series once more. It’s important to remember that India has won the last two series played in Australia and has retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy since 2015.

Ravi Shastri is well aware that the Pat Cummins-led team would also be vying for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, after Australia defeated India in the World Test Championship final.

Shastri looked optimistic that the team would be able to win the series hat trick with new coach Gautam Gambhir in charge. Stars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and many more are anticipated to perform at the highest level when they visit Australia.

The Indian captain, Shivendra Saha, was quoted by the ICC as saying, “The Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia over five Test matches is going to be a humdinger; remember, Australia have beaten India twice on the last two tours, and that’s the reason why everyone will be waiting for these two heavyweights of Test match cricket over the last five to eight years to go head-to-head.”

He went on, “It’s going to be an incredible series, and India have every opportunity to win it all because their bowlers are fit and, if they bat well, they can beat Australia once more.”

In addition, Ravi Shastri discussed how Australia will be itching for a victory over India on their home ground and atonement. Additionally, he praised Australia’s bowling assault and how it would cause India difficulties.

We are aware of Australia’s desire for retribution. Because the Indians have been defeated there (in Australia) twice, Shastri predicted that they would be famished and inclined to grab hold of their throats.
