On September 16 in Abu Dhabi, Rashid Khan scored in his opening over to get Afghanistan back into the match against Bangladesh.
Litton Das, the captain of Bangladesh, had previously won the toss and chosen to bat first. With their fluid stroke play, Saif Hassan and Tanzid Hasan Tamim, the opening duo, provided their team a great start by scoring 63 runs for the first wicket.
Rashid Khan the attack immediately following the powerplay, just when the partnership appeared to be in danger. He unleashed a classic googly on just his fourth delivery, totally fooling Saif.
Saif tried a massive slog, but the ball rattled the off stump and went through, beating him all ends up. Saif broke a pivotal stand and gave Afghanistan much-needed momentum as the Afghan talisman stared in celebration as he made the long walk back to the pavilion.
Rashid wastes no time as he means business in his very first over 🔥
