As the third-fastest bowler to reach 150 wickets in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, Rashid Khan of the Gujarat Titans has joined the elite players club. At any point throughout the game, the seasoned right-arm leg spinner is known for pitching googlies and perplexing the hitters.
After playing in the IPL since 2017, the player has finally joined the ranks of renowned bowlers Yuzvendra Chahal (118 games) and Lasith Malinga (105 games). The spinner has demonstrated his proficiency in T20 cricket in 122 league games.
Rashid Khan accomplished this during the Gujarat Titans’ season-opening matchup with the Punjab Kings.
He accomplished this by dismissing PBKS opener Priyansh Arya. Rashid entered the game and got rid of Arya on 47 runs off 23 balls as he was dominating the GT bowling attack. When he was on the crease, the batter had hit two sixes and seven boundaries.
With 243 runs on the board thanks to Shreyas Iyer‘s 97* and Shashank Singh’s 44*, PBKS is dominating the fifth game between GT and PBKS. Toward the end of the innings, both batters inflicted severe damage on the GT bowlers. Mohammed Siraj’s final over saw Shashank smash 22 runs. Because GT bowlers were so costly during the innings, they weren’t particularly noteworthy.
The team’s best bowler, though, was R. Sai Kishore, who claimed three wickets while giving up just 30 runs in four overs. The game has advanced to an intriguing stage where GT has the opportunity to pursue the enormous sum. Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford are on the crease attempting to lead their team home as we type this. When the second inning is over, it will be intriguing to observe which direction the game goes.
