After Pakistan’s 10 wicket defeat over Bangladesh in the opening Test match at Rawalpindi on Sunday, August 25, Ramiz Raja expressed his dissatisfaction. Bangladesh moved up to No. 6 in the World Test Championship (WTC) rankings with this, their first-ever Test match victory over Pakistan.
Ramiz Raja expressed specific dissatisfaction with Pakistan’s fast bowlers’ lack of penetration during the whole Test match. In their playing XI, the hosts had selected four pacers: Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad, and Mohammad Ali.
Agha Salman, an all-rounder, and part-timers Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel were responsible for spin bowling.
Pakistan declared at 448/6 in their opening innings, but the tourists amassed 565 thanks to a remarkable 191-run effort from Mushfiqur Rahim. After the hosts were destroyed for 146 runs in the second innings, Bangladesh easily reached a 30-run mark.
The previous chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Raja, pointed out that at the Asia Cup of last year, India demonstrated that Pakistani bowlers may be taken for runs if the batsmen play with aggression.

In the match that Raja mentioned last year, India scored 356 for 2 thanks to centuries from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli on a fair wicket at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Pakistan was turned over for 128 in response.

“There is a lack of skill and everyone is moving more slowly. The quick bowlers from Bangladesh appeared more incisive. Rather than building their reputations via performances, our bowlers are mostly aiming to have fun or cause drama after taking a wicket’, the 1992 World Cup winner continued.
