Ramiz Raja

Ramiz Raja, a former cricket player, is furious with Pakistan’s bowling performance in the current ODI World Cup. He recently chastised players like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf for their poor performance in the competition, but now he’s back at them, saying that Babar Azam isn’t to blame because the bowlers, in his opinion, are the ones who should be held accountable.

Notably, despite being fifth in the World Cup points standings, Pakistan was unable to advance to the semi-finals. Raja then questioned the involvement of PCB authorities and called out the bowlers in addition to attacking them. He further stated that, in his opinion, there is not enough enthusiasm in Pakistani cricket, and that replacing the coaching staff and captain will not solve the problem.

“If a ball isn’t hitting the wickets, is Babar Azam really that expensive to deal with? The PCB would then gather a few former cricket players and ask them how to improve the game. Who appointed them to lead the board? Is all they have to do as a team to simply come together, replace the coach and captain, and everyone will consider they have accomplished anything significant?

If one lacks passion for the game, Pakistan’s cricket cannot improve by even the slightest. You must alter both who you are and how you think. Raja posted on his YouTube channel, “You need to stop this process of leaking news to your favorite reporters.”

You want to appoint a 70-year-old to advance your cricket career?: Ramiz Raja

Tauseef Ahmed was named head selector in interim by PCB chief Zaka Ashraf following the resignation of Inzamam-ul-Haq. With a playful jab at him, Ramiz Raja said that the team cannot succeed with a 70-year-old in command who has already failed Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan.

“Look at the old clips of the new chief selector you appointed and how badly he talked about Babar and Rizwan. Do you really think that by appointing a 70-year-old who has no experience with selection, you can advance your cricket team?” said Raja.
