Rajat Patidar attributes the success of RCB in the 2025 IPL to their bowlers, saying, “This has been our best bowling unit.”

Rajat Patidar, captain of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has spoken candidly about his team’s IPL 2025 performance and given the bowlers credit for being instrumental. According to Rajat Patidar, having seasoned bowlers who can remain composed under pressure is beneficial in Twenty20 cricket.

The RCB captain also asserted that selecting players to fill particular positions on the team required much planning, and that their strategy was successful because of the outstanding execution. Rajat Patidar continued by asserting that this is the best bowling assault RCB has ever had in IPL history.

“Having skilled, seasoned bowlers who know how to bowl in particular circumstances is quite beneficial in Twenty20 matches. You may win games and possibly the championship with your bowling team. This year, I believe, we were well-prepared and selected players according to our needs in particular areas. “I think this has been our best bowling unit so far, and it’s worked out well,” Rajat Patidar stated on Jiostar.

In addition to their potent bowling attack, RCB has a reliable batting order. According to Patidar, the club had a batting lineup that was well-rounded, with players contributing at various stages of the game.

“Being in a batting group with excellent players from top to bottom who are all playing well gives you confidence. There are no questions because they are professionals in their fields. As a captain, that gives you confidence. Nobody is questioning our strategy based on the way we’re playing this year. Everyone is performing their roles effectively and is aware of them. That’s really encouraging,” Patidar continued.

On May 23, RCB will play Sunrisers Hyderabad in their penultimate league match at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium. The game was originally supposed to be played at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, but because of the unfavourable weather there, it has been moved to Lucknow.
