As the day when the teams must disclose their list of retained players draws near, the Indian Premier League (IPL) retentions have become the subject of innumerable conversations and rumours. Amidst all of this excitement, there have been some recent reports regarding the Rajasthan Royals (RR) camp.
Rajasthan Royals is expected to keep right-arm seamer Sandeep Sharma, all-rounder Riyan Parag, and batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson, according to the most recent reports.
In a seemingly important development, India’s legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal and England’s white-ball captain Jos Buttler do not appear to be included in Rajasthan Royals plans. For the forthcoming IPL mega auction, the franchise is therefore prepared to release them all.
The franchise’s biggest revelation to far has been wicketkeeping phenom Dhruv Jurel, who they purchased for INR 20 lakhs at the 2022 mega auction. With a scorching 151.52 in his 22 innings thus far, Jurel is reportedly in the running to be kept through the Right To Match (RTM) card option. If the Royals added Jurel to the previously reported list of four players to make five retained through the direct procedure, it was also expected that they would lose at least INR 65 crore at the auction.
Intriguingly, because of a provision that the IPL has resurrected for the upcoming season, seasoned bowler Sandeep Sharma is about to be categorised as an uncapped player.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), another well-liked IPL team, has drawn attention due to a number of reports that indicate Virat Kohli is likely to be named captain for the second time. After captaining the team from 2013 to 2021, Kohli has guided RCB to the playoffs four times.
