Rahul Dravid on the potential for a biopic based on his life: "If the money is good enough"

The big screen portrayals of Indian cricket players’ lives have started a new trend. Sports legends like MS Dhoni, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Mithali Raj have been the subject of inspirational films that have inspired viewers.

With T-Series’ recent announcement regarding the biopic on the renowned cricketer Yuvraj Singh, the focus has recently shifted to former India captain Rahul Dravid. Now, attention is focused on the former head coach. Curiously, the former Indian head coach was asked at an awards ceremony who should play him in a biopic.

At the CEAT Cricket Rating awards presentation, Dravid responded with a clever quip, “If the money is good enough, I will play the role.”

I believed our campaign was outstanding: Rahul Dravid

Without a doubt, Rahul Dravid’s remarkable career came to an end when he was appointed head coach of the Indian cricket team. Another feather in his famous cap has been added to his success with leading the Men in Blue to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup. During the India 2023 ODI World Cup, the 51-year-old gave thought to his coaching experiences. He also discussed India’s unbeaten streak up until the 2023 ODI World Cup final, where they lost to Australia in the championship match by six wickets.

“To be able to travel across this nation and feel the elation and enthusiasm of the supporters.” As a coach, I had the incredible opportunity to travel from city to city and observe the significance of the game to the Indian populace, even though I had never participated in a World Cup as a player. The former Indian legend continued, “It was amazing.

“I believe the campaign we conducted was outstanding. Australia outplayed us that day in cricket, and we were unduly frustrated in the final. Congrats to them; they were a superior squad. Sport is about that, and it is possible for things to occur,” Dravid said.
