On Wednesday, July 19, the final schedule for the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023 was released. The 50-over Asia Cup, which will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, may be just what fans are looking for because it will pit some of the top Asian nations against one another for the coveted championship.
The eagerly awaited match between India and Pakistan will take place in Kandy on September 2. There is also a chance that India and Pakistan would play each other three times in the event. Both teams were assigned to the same group (A), and if one makes it to the tournament’s Super Four, they may face off once more.
Rahul Dravid, the head coach of team India, stood up after the schedule was revealed to discuss his country’s strategy for the Asia Cup. Rahul Dravid said that even while everyone on the team would like to continue to compete for the championship, the goal was to first perform at their very best in the group stages.

Dravid then elaborated on the team’s aspirations for the championship while stressing the necessity of playing their best cricket early on in order to advance to the knockout stages and ultimately the championship match.
“It would be a fantastic competition, and we definitely want to go all the way to the championship and win it. But before we can accomplish that, we need to take the first two steps,” Dravid remarked.
