Rahmat Shah is thinking ahead to the next Test match against New Zealand,  "We will try to give them a tough time."

Rahmat Shah, an all-rounder for Afghanistan, recently spoke up and offered his analysis of his team’s next matchup with New Zealand. It is noteworthy that on September 9, Afghanistan and New Zealand will play a single Test match at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground in Greater Noida.

Rahmat Shah will play Test cricket against New Zealand for the first time, but he appears sure that his team will overcome the Black Caps despite a significant experience gap between the two teams.

Afghanistan has previously played six T20Is and five ODIs at Greater Noida, where the match is scheduled to take place.

They would feel at home at this location, and Rahmat Shah wants to take advantage of that.

“It’s important to take this test. We are up against them in a single Test match. We’ll make an effort to be difficult with them. We made every effort to prepare as best we could for the task that lies ahead, and we are excited about their victory in the ICC Test Championship,” Rahmat Shah said.

“We will benefit from our prior expertise in India. We have conducted numerous camps and played numerous games at our home fields in Noida and Lucknow. We have an advantage because we are also used to the Indian weather and pitch conditions,” he continued.

It’s important to note that Rahmat Shah leads Afghanistan in runs scored in both ODIs and Test matches. He has accomplished this by implementing the essential technical improvements into his game.

“I simply tried to focus more and practise more (to adjust for technical issues).” When my shoulder would get open in the past, I would try to turn it sideways and straighten my alignment,” Shah remarked.

Afghanistan will be hoping for a slight advantage over the Black Caps as they prepare for a challenging task, especially with the first Test rapidly approaching with the team playing in Greater Noida in familiar conditions.
