Rahane backs Kohli amid criticism

Ajinkya Rahane, an Indian cricket player, has responded to Virat Kohli‘s conceit in a considered and sincere manner. Rahane, who has shared a dressing room and leadership responsibilities with Kohli for many years, stated during the current ODI series between India and New Zealand that what many see as arrogance is actually energy and a strong emphasis on preparation.

Rahane was asked how fans and detractors, who frequently interpret Virat’s body language as ego, saw his personality. The Mumbai cricket player responded intelligently rather than ignoring the conversation. Having spent the majority of his playing career with the Delhi batter, he provided a firsthand account.

No matter how often we discuss Virat Kohli, it will never be enough. However, I have observed his batting technique up close. Every time, we discuss his goal and his passion. However, his attitude is what really sticks out to me. learning mindset and a never-give-up mindset. Virat is not conceited, despite what the outside world believes.

Rahane said to Cricbuzz, “He enters the zone.”

He said that even the teammates used to be perplexed by the 37-year-old’s actions at first, but they eventually realised that it was a component of Kohli’s strategy.

“Two days prior to the game, I saw him. He rarely speaks to anyone, not even his teammates. In fact, that’s what puts him in the zone. To get into the zone, he always puts on his AirPods or tries to listen to whatever he enjoys. It took a little while for all of the players at first. He’s doing it, but why? However, I later learnt that he’s truly inside the zone when he’s not speaking to the players or anybody else,” Rahane continued.

It is important to note that throughout their distinguished careers, Virat and Rahane developed a strong alliance. When batting together for India in Tests, they have amassed 3661 runs at an astounding average of 56.32, making them one of the country’s best partnerships in the longest format. The Ashwi-KD native is still pursuing his aim of returning to the Test team, even though Virat has retired from Tests with 9230 runs.
