At Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, during the second One-Day International between India and New Zealand, Radha Yadav made two incredible catches. She dismissed Georgia Plimmer in the 16th over of the match with impressive athleticism, but it was her second catch to dismiss Brooke Halliday that caused a stir on the internet.
Halliday attempted to time a hit while dancing down the track in the match’s 32-year-old over. The ball went to the onside of the ground after striking the bat’s toe end. The ball appeared to be beyond Radha’s reach as it crossed the infield, but she managed to trace it back, follow it closely, and stretch just in time to make an incredible catch. Radha is 24 years old.

Radha’s efforts left the commentators quite impressed, and they praised her for producing a masterpiece on the ground. This also allowed Priya Mishra to take her first wicket in international cricket. In her first game appearance, the 20-year-old spinner ended her 10-over stint with 49 runs.
In the meantime, New Zealand got off to a great start at bat. Since the openers appeared to be quite strong, Sophie Devine’s team desired to win the first ODI after losing. Plimmer scored forty-one runs, and veteran batswoman Suzie Bates scored fifty-eight. Following their dismissals, the White Ferns lost some of their momentum when Halliday and Lauren Down were bowled out in quick succession, but Devine rallied the visitors to win the match.
She completed her half-century by rotating strike well and occasionally dealing with boundaries. It will be the captain’s goal to maintain the momentum and exert pressure on the hosts.

There wasn’t much among Indian bowlers, however Saima Thakur and Deepti Sharma had respectable performances. India’s situation may have been far worse if Radha hadn’t made those very impossible catches.
