Race against time for World Cup for Ebadot Hossain

Ebadot Hossain of Bangladesh, a pace bowler, is in a race against time to get fit before the 50-over international competition that begins in India on October 5. As a result, his participation in the 2017 World Cup is unclear.

Ebadot may be sent abroad for a second opinion on his knee injury, according to BCB representatives, who confirmed this to Cricbuzz. His inability to make the anticipated recovery following therapy caused him to withdraw from the forthcoming Asia Cup.

According to reports, Ebadot will travel to England for a checkup during the first week of the forthcoming month with Kiron Thoms, the recently appointed Australian physio and rehabilitation manager.

Ebadot was hurt during the ODI series against Afghanistan last month, tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). “If he needs surgery, he will almost certainly miss the World Cup,” a BCB official said. Ebadot Hossain condition has not improved as anticipated, the official continued, making it impossible for him to carry the necessary load. The team management faces a difficult scenario because they have little time to develop a strategy for the important international competition.

The cricket board is eager to look at every option given the upcoming World Cup. The board wants Ebadot Hossain to speak with a foreign expert who specializes in knee issues. “The cricket board is treating this matter with the utmost seriousness,” the person said.

“Ebadot has had trouble adequately managing the task despite the fact that we have given it to him. The official went on to say, “His withdrawal from the Asia Cup squad was due to his inability to handle the intensity.

The representative acknowledged the difficulties but expressed hope that Ebadot Hossain could settle his problems and take part.

“Time is a luxury we don’t have, even though there’s a chance he could do it with two to three more months. The coach needs information on his condition to adjust his methods before the World Cup team announcement.

Tanzim Shakib took his position for the Asia Cup in place of the 29-year-old bowler, who had played for the Tigers in 12 ODIs since making his 50-over debut the previous year.
