Former Indian cricketer R Ashwin announced his retirement from the franchise-based competition on August 27, 2025, ending his 16-season career in the Indian Premier competition. Regarding Ashwin’s IPL stats, he finished his career with 187 wickets at a modest economy rate of 7.20 in 221 games. Along with all of his accomplishments with the ball, Ashwin has amassed 833 runs and a half-century in the tournament.
