A rapid double century was hammered by Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw for Maharashtra during the current Ranji Trophy 2025–26 season. The only players in the tournament’s history to reach faster double hundreds were Tanmay Agarwal (119 balls) and Ravi Shastri (123 balls). The second-fastest double century in the Ranji Trophy’s Elite Group stage was also reached in this innings.
