After the ‘Men in Blue’ lost the series, former Indian bowler Venkatesh Prasad criticized them, saying they had a long history of being unimpressive at white-ball cricket.
West Indies won the five-match series 3-2 as India failed to perform to their ability in the fifth T20I on Sunday, August 12. India came back to win the next two T20Is after taking the first two games, advancing the series to a final in Lauderhill, Florida. Hardik Pandya suffered his first series loss as captain, though, thanks to Romario Shepherd’s four-for and Brandon King’s 85* from 55 for the West Indies. The 54-year-old also urged India to analyze its loss rather of make “silly statements” in response.
“India has long been a very very ordinary limited overs team. They were humiliated by a West Indies team that missed out on qualifying for the T20 World Cup a few months ago. In the ODI series, we had also fallen to Ban. I hope they reflect instead of saying anything absurd #IndvWI.” Venkatesh posted something to his ‘X’ account.

Venkatesh Prasad commented that Hardik Pandya appeared to be illiterate.
During the T20I series, Indian skipper Hardik Pandya was described as appearing “clueless” by Venkatesh Prasad, who also criticized the side for lacking motivation and zeal to win games.
India must increase its skill set. The skipper frequently appeared to be completely lost due to a lack of enthusiasm and hunger. Both bowlers and batters cannot bowl. In a separate tweet, Venkatesh added, “It’s crucial to avoid looking for yes men and to avoid becoming oblivious because someone is your favorite player. Instead, consider the bigger picture.
India needs to improve their skillset. Their is a hunger & intensity deficiency & often the captain looked clueless. Bowler’s can’t bat, batsmen can’t bowl.
