After going through a slump in 2020 and 2021, Virat Kohli’s brilliance against Pakistan in the October T20 World Cup 2022 made everything appear simple. During that period, the cricket player went nearly two years without scoring a century. Even so, throughout what was referred to as his slump, the famous Indian batsman kept up a respectable average.
The same point has been made by former India spinner Pragyan Ojha, who has also shed light on the high bar Kohli has set for himself over the years. The numbers show that throughout those two years, the right-handed batter’s Test average fell dramatically to 26.2. Ojha, however, disregarded the statistic and supported the stalwart in getting through the difficult time.
“Players like Virat Kohli have participated in international cricket for over ten years. There will come an occasion when you’ll face new obstacles and have to improve yourself. I anticipate him to evolve, as legends of the game always do,” Ojha stated, as cited by.

Virat has raised the bar so high that he now considers a 50 or 60 to be a failure. That is the only way he has benefited the Indian squad. The way he exercises and his work ethic are only phases, and it will only take time for him to improve,” he continued.
