After winning the T20 World Cup, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits the Indian squad

After winning the T20 World Cup, team India met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on July 4. On June 29, the Men in Blue defeated South Africa by seven runs in the finals. However, they were forced to stay in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl, and they didn’t arrive in India until July 4. As soon as the team bus departed to see the PM, they arrived in India and booked into the ITC Maurya.

The “Champions” shirt, created especially for the occasion, was worn by Indian players and support personnel. Following their victory in the T20 World Cup, the shirt had two stars above the logo. When they met Modi and posed for pictures with the trophy, they all wore the same jersey. The captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid are shown next to PM Narendra Modi, who is pictured in the centre of the popular photo holding the trophy in one hand. Included in the picture were Secretary Jay Shah and BCCI President Roger Binny

The specifics of the discussions the prime minister had with the victorious team’s members are unknown. But as they conversed with him, the players couldn’t stop grinning and laughing.

Team India went for ITC Maurya after meeting with the PM Narendra Modi, where they will probably have lunch before leaving for Mumbai.

The players will head straight to Wankhede Stadium as the team arrives in the city, which is anticipated to happen at approximately 4 PM IST. Since thousands of fans would be present, the BCCI and the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) have organised a lavish celebration for the victorious team.

On July 4, free admission to Wankhede Stadium will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Thousands of people are anticipated to congregate on Marine Drive for the victory parade, which will take place following the festivities in Wankhede. Since the players will be travelling in an open bus, the BCCI has already increased security in Mumbai. The festivities are anticipated to last till nine o’clock IST.
