They're good. Their time is limited. Players must help us achieve goals and align with their thinking "Rohit remarked.

Coaches haven't got a lot of time, it is players' responsibility to help them settle: Rohit Sharma

After a crushing 3-0 series loss to New Zealand at home, India’s coaching staff—especially head coach Gautam Gambhir—has come under heavy fire on social media. Throughout the entire series, the Rohit Sharma-led team struggled at bat since they were never able to apply much pressure to the visitors. Despite lacking the services of Trent Boult and Kane Williamson, the Black Caps prevailed by giving India their first 3-0 series thumping.

After losing to Sri Lanka 3-0 in the ODI series, this was India’s second thumping loss under Gambhir. There have been concerns expressed about the coach and whether or not he is a good fit. In response, Rohit stated that it is the players’ duty to assist the coaching staff in settling in properly because they are relatively new.

“The coaching staff has performed well. They don’t have much time. It is the players’ duty to assist them with outcomes as well, to ensure that our thinking is in line with theirs. In the press conference following India’s 25-run loss in the third Test in Mumbai, Rohit stated that it was too soon to make any judgements.

Rohit is uncertain if he will be able to attend the Perth Test.

Regarding his availability for the first Test match against Australia in Perth, Rohit remains uncertain. A few months ago, he told the BCCI that he might not be able to make the opening match. Abhimanyu Easwaran has been called up by India as a backup opener, and in Rohit’s absence, he is anticipated to combine with Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Rohit stated that he is still uncertain about his availability and that nothing has changed. I’m not sure if I’ll be going right now, but we’ll see. “Hopefully,” the 37-year-old stated.
