PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf sends his best wishes to the Pakistan men’s cricket team for the ODI World Cup in 2023.

On October 6 in Hyderabad, Pakistan will play their opening competition match against the Netherlands.

Prior to the much awaited ODI Cricket World Cup 2023, Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), sent his best wishes to the Pakistan men’s side. Notably, the main event is scheduled to start on Thursday, October 5. On October 6, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistan’s opening match of the campaign will take place against the Netherlands.

Zaka Ashraf wants the team captained by Babar Azam to bring the trophy home for a second time. Additionally, the 71-year-old gave the team advice to concentrate on playing quality cricket throughout the campaign. Additionally, he told the players that Ashraf and the entire country will support the Men in Green and urged them to play to their strengths.

“I offer the Pakistan squad my support and best wishes. Our squad has the capacity to accomplish extraordinary accomplishments, in my opinion. They should concentrate on playing challenging cricket and giving a standout performance in the competition.

“I’m confident they’ll win and return with the trophy for us. Zaka Ashraf was heard saying in Pakistan Cricket’s YouTube video, “The players just need to faith in their ability and rest assured, the entire nation is solidly supporting them.

Pakistan loses to Australia by 14 runs in the warm-up game.

Australia won the toss and decided to bat first in Hyderabad’s final ODI World Cup 2023 exhibition game. With the help of half-centuries from Glenn Maxwell (77) and Cameron Green (50*), Australia amassed a staggering 351 runs. Josh Inglis and David Warner both contributed meaningful knocks, scoring 48 runs each.

Pakistan’s primary bowler, Usama Mir, concluded with outstanding stats of 2/31. Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz each claimed one victim at this time.

Australia limited Pakistan to 337 runs in 47.4 overs thanks to Marnus Labuschagne’s three important wickets. While taking two wickets each, captain Pat Cummins and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh also displayed superb bowling abilities. Iftikhar Ahmed (83), Babar Azam (90), and Mohammad Nawaz (50) all reached the half-century mark for Pakistan.
