“You must make your own decisions; we’re all adults who have gone on nighttime excursions. I guess that in this particular situation, he was clearly not with the cricket team; rather, he was in the area for a private function and was not on tour with the Australians. It is therefore rather different. Indeed, Cummins was quoted by India Today as adding, “You have to own and be comfortable with any decision that you make.”

Though Cricket Australia insisted that Glenn Maxwell exclusion from the ODI squad had nothing to do with the most recent incident, the move caused some controversy.
