In advance of Pakistan's match against India, Waqar Younis expresses Pakistan's fear that Shaheen Afridi is not bowling properly.

Before the much anticipated match between India and Pakistan, former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis shared his thoughts on Pakistan’s recent struggles due to their poor bowling performance. Younis said that Pakistan’s bowling isn’t performing at its peak, and even its top paceman Shaheen Afridi isn’t performing at its peak.

Waqar Younis, a former Pakistan cricketer, discussed Pakistan’s performance leading up to the important match against India in a talk on JioCinema’s daily show “#AAKASHVANI.” “We’ve always said that Pakistan’s bowling is their strength and their batting is their weakness. But I believe it should be the other way around before the game versus India.

Pakistan‘s bowling has a few problems that date back to the Asia Cup. Even for the upcoming games, I believe they need to get better here. Simply said, Shaheen (Afridi) is not bowling well. He doesn’t appear to have a finger that is hurt. Since the Asia Cup game in Kandy, he has had trouble finding his form and finding his rhythm. That’s worrying, then.

Additionally, Younis discussed how their star batter Babar Azam’s inability to score runs is harming their chances. Younis stated that if Azam cannot do well against strong teams, his leadership will be called into question.

Waqar Younis also discussed Babar Azam’s inconsistent captaincy and absence of big scores against India.

“You must score against large teams and lead well as a captain if you want to be known as a big player. Shaheen, Shadab, and Haris’ bowling performances were significantly responsible for his performance as captain. They would provide him with innovations that facilitated his task. Your leadership will be put to the test and inquiries will be made now that this is not occurring.
