Early Pakistani victory Bangladesh ended up being a godsend

The Bangladesh men’s cricket team will be arriving early in Pakistan for the two ICC World Test Championship 2023–25 matches in Rawalpindi and Karachi on August 21–25 and August 30-September 3, respectively, according to information released by the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board).

Bangladesh’s team was supposed to land in Lahore on August 17, however due to a change in schedule, they will instead arrive on August 13. The squad will arrive in Islamabad on 17 August for practice sessions after spending 14-16 training at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The team will rehearse at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 18–20 following their arrival in Islamabad. Bangladesh will have enough preparation time before the ICC World Test Championship matches thanks to the PCB’s offer to BCB to deploy their team sooner.

Salman Naseer, the COO of the PCB, spoke out as the team prepared for their impending early arrival and emphasised that sports are about more than just winning and losing—maintaining relationships is a crucial component of the game.

Sports are about camaraderie as much as winning and losing. Naseer was quoted by The Nation as saying, “I remain confident that the extra training sessions in Lahore will allow the players to showcase their best skills and talent on the global stage.”

“We are thrilled that the BCB has accepted our offer, and we are forward to showing the Bangladesh men’s cricket team our customary hospitality when they arrive in Lahore on August 13. This would enable them to drill and rehearse for three more days at one of our famous locations before travelling to Islamabad as scheduled,” he continued.

We appreciate the PCB: Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, the BCB chief

Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, the chief executive of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), also expressed his gratitude to the PCB for giving Bangladesh the chance to train in Pakistan.

“We appreciate the PCB providing the Bangladesh cricket team with the chance to train in Pakistan once more. The players will undoubtedly benefit from this as they adjust to the environment and get ready for the ICC World Test Championship series, Chowdhury added.
