Pakistani team experiences a little health issue

A couple of the Pakistani team’s players had fevers, which is a small health problem for them during the World Cup. Shaheen Afridi, a legendary fast bowler, is reportedly among those affected.

Some of the players who had been afflicted with fever are already on the road to recovery, while others are still recovering, according to a statement from the Pakistan team management. “Some players have had fever in the recent days, but the majority of them have totally recovered. Those who are recovering continue to be monitored by the team medical staff, according to a representative for the Babar Azam-led team.

Although the names of the players who are sick have not been made public, it is believed that Shaheen, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Mohammad Haris, and Zaman Khan are among them. “There is no illness or viral infection. The majority of the athletes who experienced fever have already recovered, according to the statement, which did not name any players.

PCB files complaint on unruly mob behavior

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Ahmedabad crowd have been accused of inappropriate behavior directed against Pakistan Cricket Board’s players during the match versus India. The complaint has been filed with the International Cricket Council (ICC). The PCB has also voiced its displeasure with the BCCI for failing to secure visas in a timely manner for its journalists and for failing to secure visas for Pakistan fans.

“Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023,” the statement read. It continued by stating: “The PCB has also filed a complaint in respect of Inappropriate Conduct targeted at the Pakistan Squad during the India vs Pakistan Match held on 14th October 2023.”

The ICC did not respond right away, but Cricbuzz understands that during the Ahmedabad match, which Pakistan lost by seven wickets, a portion of the crowd yelled obscenities at a handful of the players.

Pakistan, which is now 2-1 in the World Cup’s league stage, will take against Australia on October 20 in Bengaluru.
