The sixteenth Asia Cup, which is now in progress, features a virtual semifinal between Dasun Shanaka’s Sri Lanka and Babar Azam’s Pakistan. The R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host the fifth game of the Super Fours round on Thursday, September 14, 2023. It should be noted that team India has already qualified for the mega-final whereas Bangladesh has been disqualified.

In this round, both the Lankan Lions and the Men in Green have played two games, winning one and losing the other. Prior to being severely defeated by India by a margin of 228 runs in their second Super Fours match, Pakistan defeated the Bangla Tigers by seven wickets.

However, Shanaka’s team also overcame Bangladesh by a score of 21 runs before suffering a 41-run setback to Team India.
