Pakistan will host South Africa for a three-match ODI series at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium before the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. The matches on September 16, 19, and 22 will be the final preparations before the national squad travels to Sri Lanka for the competition.
Pakistan will start their World Cup campaign on October 2 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, playing all league stage matches and perhaps knockout rounds. This three-match series is Pakistan’s sole big assignment before the 50-over World Cup, other than a three-match T20I series against Ireland in Dublin in early August. Playing XI and team combinations will be decided by ODI games against South Africa.
After the World Cup, Pakistan will prepare for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England from June 12 to July 5. As part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 cycle, the Women in Green will play three ODIs and three T20Is in South Africa in February–March 2026. In April–May 2026, a three-ODI and three-T20I home series against Zimbabwe will follow.
Before the T20 World Cup in England, the side will play a tri-nation T20I series in Ireland with West Indies and the hosts. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is also strengthening domestic and young teams. The U19 women’s squad will play a national T20 event in Karachi from September 15 to October 6. The top players from this event will go to Bangladesh for a five-match T20I tour in December after a three-week skills development program.
PCB plans to add a departmental women’s event to boost professional player numbers and competition. The Women’s One Day Tournament (Nov 6–24, 2025) and Women’s T20 Tournament (Mar 24–Apr 17, 2026) will also feature top domestic and international players.
