After Pakistan was eliminated from the 2023 Asia Cup, Moin Khan said, "There was no unity."

commanded by Babar Azam In the fictitious Asia Cup 2023 semifinal match versus Sri Lanka, Pakistan suffered a significant defeat. Pakistan scored a poor total on the board and failed to defend as they were ousted from the Asia Cup in a game that was plagued by weather and considerably cut short.

Pakistan was eliminated from the tournament despite winning their first match in the Super Four stage of the competition by defeating Bangladesh. Pakistan then suffered consecutive losses to India and Sri Lanka.

Several stories that surfaced following their elimination from the Asia Cup claimed that there had been an altercation between players in the locker room. Former Pakistani cricketer Moin Khan said in a similar vein that there was a glaring lack of cohesion among the Pakistani players.

He reminisced on how nobody from the team approached captain Babar Azam—not even wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan—and he emphasised how disorganised everything felt, which contributed to their defeat.

“We observed during the entire competition; I previously made a comment to that effect. Babar wasn’t approached by any player. Rizwan didn’t approach him, and neither was the vice captain. Nobody was visiting him.

According to Moin Khan, there appeared to be no unity and everyone was dispersed.

Pakistan prepares for the 2023 ODI World Cup

Pakistan will like to put the Asia Cup 2023 defeat behind them and concentrate on the next ODI World Cup 2023, which will be hosted by India starting on October 5.

In the ODI World Cup warm-up matches, Pakistan will face the 2019 World Cup champions, New Zealand, on September 29 in Hyderabad and Australia on Tuesday, October 3.

On October 6 in Hyderabad, they will face the Netherlands to begin their campaign.
