Notably, Pakistan emerged as one of the competition’s brightest stars after defeating Sri Lanka and the Netherlands in their first two games. However, they were unable to maintain their pace and lost to Australia and India, respectively.
As the rumors gained traction, PCB reacted to its official social media accounts to deny any internal strife within the team that is taking part in India’s premier sporting event. The organization in charge of regulating cricket vehemently refuted the claims and expressed disappointment at the spread of false information.

Contrary to rumors spread by some media outlets, the PCB firmly affirms that the team is united and that there is no evidence to back up these unfounded assertions.
The statement said, “The PCB emphasizes the importance of upholding journalistic ethics before spreading such allegations and expresses disappointment with the dissemination of this false news.”

Notably, certain journalists from Pakistan were responsible for spreading the rumors.
On social media, they announced that there had been conflicts inside the team and that they would follow up after Pakistan’s match against Afghanistan at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. According to the posts made by the journalists, there has been growing unhappiness within the team due to the isolation of captain Babar Azam following a brutal incident between two players.
The rumors surfaced after Pakistan’s defeat against Australia in Bengaluru. As Australia’s Mitchell Marsh and David Warner both scored hundreds, Pakistan gave up 368 runs. The 1992 winners were bowled out for 305 in 45.3 overs despite having a strong start.
