Pakistan confirms the specifics of their home white-ball series with the West Indies.

During a white-ball series that will include three ODIs and five T20Is in April, Pakistan will play host to the West Indies. The ICC Women’s Championship 2022–25 will feature the three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), which are scheduled for April 18, 21, and 23.

After that, there will be a five-match Twenty20 International series from April 26 to May 3, giving both teams plenty of time to complete their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup preparations. The National Bank Stadium (NBS) in Karachi is the venue for all of Pakistan’s games against the West Indies.

The West Indies women’s visit to the nation will be their second since 2021. They last traveled to Pakistan in November 2021 for three winning ODIs.

After hosting Sri Lanka in June 2022, Ireland in November 2022, and South Africa in September 2023, Pakistan will host its fourth such women’s series at home with the forthcoming ODI series.

With 16 points, Pakistan is now ranked third in the ICC Women’s Championship standings, while the West Indies are near the bottom at No. 9 with 8 points.

The trip to England in May 2024 will be Pakistan’s final series in the current IWC cycle.

The Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in Bangladesh in September of this year, will also see the two teams begin their preparations for it during the T20Is.

For the forthcoming series, we cordially welcome the West Indies women’s team to Pakistan. The fact that Pakistan’s Head of Women’s Cricket, Tania Mallick, is hosting the fourth women’s championship series at home during the 2022–25 cycle is evidence of PCB’s dedication to advancing women’s cricket and giving our players chances to excel internationally.

“Building relationships and fortifying ties between cricketing nations is the real purpose of the upcoming series against the West Indies, not only cricket.

“The stakes are bigger than ever for the Pakistan women’s side to qualify directly for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup as the ICC Women’s Championship 2022–25 draws to a close. The Pakistan women’s team’s current standing indicates our commitment and perseverance, and we want to win all three of the championship games at home in order to earn as many points as possible.

“There will also be an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup later this year. We have planned five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) versus the West Indies in light of this event and the team’s recent strong performances in the shortest format. The T20I series will aid in the selection process for the elite team for the major event.
