PAK vs ENG 2024: Pakistan confirm playing XI for second Multan test

Before the second Test match between Pakistan and England begins at the Multan Cricket Stadium on October 15, 2024, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed a newly-revamped squad. In a startling move, Pakistan has already announced the playing eleven for the forthcoming match, leaving out Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Babar Azam.

Babar Azam has been replaced in the lineup by Kamran Ghulam, and Shan Masood‘s team has added Saud Shakeel as a new deputy. Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, and Zahid Mehmood all unexpectedly found spots in the starting lineup ahead of the match against Multan, while Mohammad Rizwan has once again been trusted with the wicketkeeping duties.

In a press statement on Monday, October 14, PCB disclosed their team, and as anticipated, Masood & Co. has seen numerous changes.

It is important to remember that Kamran Ghulam will be playing in his first Test match and taking the field for the first time as a member of the declared playing XI. In an ODI match against New Zealand in January 2023,

Mainstay captain Ben Stokes, who returned after recovering from his injury, was the greatest draw when the visitors announced their playing XI earlier in the day. Stokes was absent from England’s opening Test match, which was captained by Ollie Pope.
