Arshdeep Singh, the pacer for PBKS, acknowledged prior to the game that he has no particular batter in mind to eliminate. According to the left-arm pacer, his goal is to protect the batters and get the squad to the finish line. The 26-year-old admitted that he would try to stop the runs if the team provided him the opportunity.
At Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, the five-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 30. In the IPL 2025, PBKS defeated CSK by 18 runs in Mullanpur. Against CSK, the squad posted a dominant total thanks to the youthful player Priyansh Arya’s 103 runs in 42 balls.
I don’t want to take any [particular] wickets. I don’t necessarily want to take wickets, as I mentioned earlier, but the team should give chances. There might be a batter in front of me and I have to defend 10 runs. I’d like to protect [the runs]. Whether he is out or not is irrelevant. The squad did, however, win the game. As a result, I haven’t come up with a name for it, including batsman. All I have to do is try to get as many wickets as I can.
And I take advantage of the opportunity the team offers me to halt the run flow,” Arshdeep Singh told Star Sports.

With a little possibility of qualifying for the playoffs, CSK is now at the bottom of the points table and will try to win the game in front of their home crowd. With five games left in this year’s IPL, PBKS is still in the running for a postseason berth, currently sitting in fifth position.
