ODI World Cup 2023: Pakistani visa concerns have been resolved

The Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) has finally resolved the hotly debated visa concerns that had been troubling it. As a result of the problem being fixed, the team lead by Babar Azam is now free to visit India in advance of the ODI World Cup 2023.

The Indian government has resolved the visa concerns, and the Pakistani team is now free to fly, according to the ICC (International Cricket Council). The confirmation was also made after the PCB protested to the ICC about an exceptional delay in the visa issuance that was delaying their trip to India.

However, numerous sources asserted that the PCB’s late application submission was to blame for the delay. As the External Affairs and Home Ministries are involved in the clearance of Pakistan visas, the delay was also brought on by the political difficulties between India and Pakistan, which must be resolved in a 10-day procedure before visas can be issued.

Pakistani World Cup campaign will go off against Netherlands.

With regard to Pakistan’s next on-field commitments, the team will visit India and play two World Cup preliminaries on September 29 and October 3, respectively, against New Zealand and Australia.

In addition, the team’s first ODI World Cup 2023 match will be against the Netherlands after the warm-up matches. On Friday, October 6, the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad will host the second match of the campaign between both teams.

After a disappointing performance at the recently finished Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan will be hoping for a better World Cup campaign. The team, led by Babar Azam, will be motivated to deliver a better performance and strive to win the main competition. When it comes to the Asia Cup, Pakistan advanced to the Super Four stage before being defeated by Sri Lanka, and they will try to prevent a repeat performance at the World Cup.
