World Cup of ODI in 2023: Hardik Pandya scan report will be forwarded to a Mumbai expert

The Indian squad suffered a significant blow during their last match against Bangladesh at the ODI World Cup 2023 when star all-rounder Hardik Pandya hurt himself by twisting his left ankle. He was only able to bowl three deliveries before he had to leave the field.

The incident happened in the ninth over of the match, and Pandya needed assistance getting off the field. Virat Kohli then bowled the final three balls of Pandya’s over. While Pandya was not required to bat during India’s chase, he returned to the field but did not bowl. Pandya will be sent for scans, and only when the results are known will a decision be made regarding his availability for the upcoming matches, according to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).

Hardik Pandya scan data are being submitted to a specialized physician in Mumbai.

Speaking about the same, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that the injury was not serious or significant enough to be concerned about, and that the team will monitor how he feels going forward.

He came up a little sore, but nothing to worry about. We’ll wait until tomorrow morning to determine how he feels before making further plans, Rohit said.

India maintains its winning streak thanks to Virat Kohli’s ton of runs

Bangladesh performed well in their opening innings of play, scoring 51 and 66 runs, respectively, thanks to Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das. Mahmudullah scored 46 runs, and Mushfiqur Rahim added 38 runs to the total.

Bangladesh scored a total of 256 runs in the first innings, and team India put on an incredible batting display to chase down the total. Virat Kohli produced his 48th ODI century, totaling 103 runs, to help India win by seven wickets. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill contributed 48 and 53 runs, respectively.
