Nigar and Harmanpreet reject the temptation to dwell on the past.

Nigar Sultana, the captain of Bangladesh, remarked that they are hoping to improve the team’s momentum going forward with a crucial victory over India.

In the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh starting on July 10 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Indian national women’s team head coach Nooshin Al Khadeer stated on Saturday (July 8) that they are not looking to experiment. India is the favorite to win the series and ranks significantly higher than their opponents; the hosts are ranked ninth in T20Is, well behind India at number four.

There have been 13 games between Bangladesh and India so far, with India winning 11 of them and Bangladesh taking the final 2. Since every game is crucial for us and there is no such thing as an experiment, I don’t see it occurring. Before the first game of the series, Khadeer told reporters, “We want to play our best side since the main point is to win. “And I’m certain Bangladesh will adopt the same viewpoint. So, it’s never an experiment, or rather, I’d say that being motivated by an experiment is never the case. “Over the years, things have evolved, and Bangladesh cricket is no exception. The Under-19 and Emerging squads are what I have observed.

For the senior World Cup, they sent roughly six cricketers under the age of 19. It simply demonstrates how cricket has developed in Bangladesh over time. “That, in and of itself, is a very good thing. Additionally, we had to play them in the Emerging Tournament finals because of their positive attitude throughout time. So gradually, I believe the subcontinent teams have been doing pretty well. What additional evidence do you need when Sri Lanka recently defeated New Zealand, as you can see? These things suggest to India that it should truly succeed rather than actually experiment.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian team, made similar remarks and asserted that Bangladesh, which is competing against them at home, will put up a fight. They consistently play excellent cricket at home, according to Kaur, who described them as a very good team. We just want to keep things very simple. They are really competitive when they play good cricket. We simply want to concentrate on whatever actions have always produced results for us. We will not consider who is better or worse. Our aim is to simply concentrate on playing excellent cricket.

Numerous times, Bangladesh was on the verge of defeating India, but they were unable to complete the victory.

“If we can win the first game, you’ll be able to predict how the tournament will go for you. Nothing motivates a team more than success. The victory moment transforms everything, and that’s what we’re aiming for,” said Nigar.

“Why don’t you take the series? Why are we unable to win the series? We need to maintain our positive attitude since we have all the tools necessary to win the series in our arsenal. “We don’t consider India’s strengths or weaknesses. We will overlook our own advantages if we focus too much on the opposition.

I believe our bowling attack is the greatest, and if we can take advantage of opportunities early and bowl strategically, then nobody can pose a threat to us, she added.

Nigar expressed her admiration for Shorna Akhter, a young player who joined the squad in place of Rumana Ahmed, an experienced player, but she added that she thought there was still room for the seniors. For context, Bangladesh did not select Jahanara Alam for either the ODI or T20 match, and many people think that this signals a new beginning for the women in red and green.

“I’d say Shorna Akhter is a game-changer, and we’ve seen her potential in the Under-19, especially in the way she scores under duress. She was hurt when we were in Sri Lanka, but she made a great recovery. She plays all over the field and bowls well with leg spin, which is helpful for us. We will benefit if she succeeds, Nigar added.

“I think this team will win this series, and as for who will show up when and who won’t, that will all depend on the circumstances. We won’t have any seniors in this series, but they could make a great comeback in the future. It is hoped that those that are on the squad will also perform well and have a good case for staying on it. The selecting committee will act in the team’s best interest; therefore, everything depends on them.
