Bangladesh’s cricket team has not been winning on their current trip against India, therefore things have been difficult lately. Following their defeat in the opening two Twenty20 Internationals of the series, Bangladesh also lost the two-match Test series against Rohit Sharma‘s team.
Finding Mehidy Hasan Miraz the ideal spot in the T20I starting lineup is one of the many changes the team has been attempting to make. Nic Pothas, Bangladesh’s fielding coach, recently spoke up regarding the same topic.
According to Pothas, Mehidy has had a difficult learning curve in many aspects during the current T20I series against India. The 26-year-old returned to Bangladesh’s T20I team after a 14-month absence, and with Mahmudullah’s retirement, the team is hoping to use Miraz in a different capacity.
“It’s very conditions based and we’re very fortunate to have Miraz because he can bat at the top of the order and he can bat at the middle order and we have seen the progress he has made from a batting point of view,” Pothas was reported to have stated.
“As you are aware, we have already tried him at the top with the ball, and he has performed admirably. T20 is the final game that might occur. Because he possesses three extremely valuable skills, he offers us options,” he continued.

It is important to note that India won the first two Twenty20 Internationals to secure a three-game series victory over Bangladesh, and that they also defeated them in the two-game Test series. In his analysis of his team’s performances, Pothas stated that Bangladesh’s camp has been approaching the series from a new angle and is considering it as an educational opportunity.

“You guys usually have ups and downs, wins and losses. Our perspectives are radically dissimilar. We faced out against India, the greatest squad in the world. Many countries in India have poor tours if we measure the pure outcome, according to Pothas.
