Lance Morris finally made his debut for his country in the first one-day international at the Melbourne Cricket Ground against the West Indies. The incident occurred as he was in his fifth over and the player was seen cooling the damaged area in the locker room. Lance Morris was transported for scans shortly after that in order to assess the extent of his damage. Cricket Australia (CA) has not yet released an official statement about the nature of the injury, but it is thought that the pacer may miss the next two Test matches against New Zealand, which start on February 29.
Lance Morris, meanwhile, talked candidly about his debut’s challenges prior to his second international game and mentioned that he felt a lot better in Canberra.

It was undoubtedly a great relief to get the maiden wicket. Morris told Fox Cricket, “You take them as they come. It probably wasn’t the textbook nick-off.”
