The Pakistan Junior League has been cancelled by the new PCB administration led by Najam Sethi

Najam Sethi At the second meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Management Committee, which took place on Saturday at the National High-Performance Centre, Najam Sethi served as the meeting’s chairman. At this meeting, it was decided to do away with the Pakistan Junior League and to bring back the junior series on a home-and-away basis in order to create a path for young cricketers who are capable of playing at a high level.

According to a statement released by the board, the PCB Management Committee recently held an in-depth discussion on the topic of bringing the PCB Constitution 2014 back in line with the functioning of the Regional and District Cricket Associations as well as the Departments and Service Organizations.

Following a series of in-depth discussions, it was announced that Regional and District Cricket Associations as well as Departments and Service Organizations have been reinstated. At this point, a strategic plan will be formulated to include these entities formally in the domestic cricket structure, including participation in the PCB Board of Governors in due course. Moreover, the restoration of these entities has been hailed as a success.

The Management Committee voted in favour of establishing 12 PCB Committees and reached an agreement that the committees’ memberships will be disclosed at the appropriate time.

Following is a list of the committees that will be formed: Cricket Infrastructure Committee, Restructuring of Women’s Cricket Committee, Audit Committee, Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee, Human Resource Committee, Legal Affairs Committee, National Selection Committees, and Benevolent Fund Committee are some of the committees that are part of the organisation.

It was affirmed by the Najam Sethi PCB Management Committee that they will honour and fulfil all Domestic Player Contracts, which are good until August 2023.

As a part of the PCB Management Committee’s strategy to continue to invest in women’s cricket, the PCB Management Committee expressed its excitement and commitment to launch The Women’s League, which has been renamed as the Pakistan Women’s League. In addition, The Women’s League will now be known as the Pakistan Women’s League.

It was also decided that negotiations would be held with the Pakistan Super League franchises to discuss the possibility of including an Under-19 player in their playing line-ups as part of their Emerging Categories.
