Unfortunate weather has befallen the Pakistani team, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) has faced criticism for their poor facilities at US venues and their lack of preparation for bad weather, especially as conditions are predicted to be similar in Florida, a state devastated by flooding.
The vital USA vs. Ireland Group A match washed out and ended without a ball being played due to the damp outfield. The match between India and Canada at the same venue finished similarly the next day.
The Indian cricket committee should ensure that teams’ ability, not the weather, determine match outcomes, according to former opener Navjot Singh Sidhu, who expressed his anger.

“There is a lot of room for improvement,” Sidhu said in regards to Star Sports’ X account. The ICC should base the circumstances on the teams’ abilities rather than letting the weather control them. The sopper malfunctioned yesterday due to a lack of petrol and an uncovered area of the ground.”
“When you play basketball or rugby, the stadiums are fully covered,” Sidhu said, highlighting even more the distinctions between cricket and other sports. It is crucial to make sure that the teams’ abilities are fairly judged because this is a wonderful country with ample resources. Rain-related delays for top teams lessen the tournament’s impact.”

The Pakistan cricket team was also affected by the washout; after losing to the United States and India earlier in the competition, their hopes of qualifying were also in jeopardy.
