Nasser Hussain tells England, "You're going to be 0-2 down soon, lads." He wants them to learn from their mistakes.

Former England captain Nasser Hussain has told England to admit their mistakes and learn from them during the Ashes series at home, which is still going on. During the first innings of the second Test at Lord’s, England lost the lead and gave up a large lead of 91 runs.

The English batters tried to beat Australia‘s short-ball plan, but they kept getting caught in the trap and losing their last six wickets for only 47 runs. This gave Australia a 221-run lead by the end of Day 3.

“Mistakes are okay because they have always been and will always be a part of sports. But the most important thing is to try to learn from your mistakes. Hussain told Sky Sports that England made mistakes by going for balls they should have dodged. This led to the loss of four wickets and could have put the whole game at risk.

Nasser Hussain also said that England could lose the Lord’s Test if they kept making these kinds of mistakes in the name of their “playing style.”

“By ignoring these flaws, they are inviting criticism and doubt. They have to block out noise from the outside but still be open to constructive feedback. Fix the mistakes they made in the first inning, or they’ll soon be behind 0-2 if they keep saying, “That’s just how we play.” “Learn from the past and try to get better in the next round,” he told them.

Hussain said that on Day 2, the damage had already been done, which showed how wrong England’s strategy was after tea. Notably, the hosts were in a strong situation at 188/1, but they let Australia’s short-ball strategy beat them.

He said that England’s best chance of winning the Test is to quickly bowl out the Australian team on Day 4 and then show that they have faith in their ability to chase the target, which won’t be easy.
