Why he won't allow his father watch cricket is revealed by Naseem Shah

Naseem Shah, the star pacer for Pakistan, is among the best bowlers in the nation. Despite being only 21 years old, he has already shown to be one of the team’s top bowlers and is a mainstay in the starting lineups for all formats. Naseem is a future star who has already participated in 17 Tests, 14 ODIs, and 28 T20Is at such a young age.

He recently disclosed that his father was his biggest cricket fan. He did, however, believe that even though his father always cheers him on, he forbids him from attending his matches. Naseem revealed that his father is experiencing health problems and that he is under a lot of stress as a result of watching every ball.

In order to make sure their father is not looking, Naseem said he calls his brothers.

“My father is experiencing some medical problems. He didn’t know anything about cricket until recently, but now he watches every ball and becomes upset when we lose. I thus call my brothers before a big game to make sure our father isn’t watching. I worry that it could result in more serious health issues. Naseem was cited by NDTV as stating, “It feels like I’m playing two matches at once due to the pressure.”

Naseem also thought back to the match between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024, where the Men in Green were 80/3 in the 14th over but were unable to pursue 120 runs in 20 overs.

“There are many different feelings associated with these matches. I had not anticipated [the outcome to transpire as it did]. Certain things you prefer to keep private. At that moment, a lot of things flashed in front of me and a lot of things had pent-up. I have rarely in my life felt the need to have someone who can give me positive advice,” he continued.
