Ahmedabad is presently the front-runner to host the summit match after hosting the IPL finals in 2022 and 2023.
Due to growing geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan, the 18th season of the lucrative league was halted for a week beginning May 9. Even though a ceasefire was declared on May 10, the board has yet to make an official announcement until the situation has improved.

The BCCI is reportedly planning to start the league again by May 16 or 17, with the opening game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Lucknow Super Giants taking place in Lucknow. Rajiv Shukla, the BCCI’s vice president, added that no decision has been made as of yet.
Originally, the IPL final was scheduled for May 25 at Eden Gardens, home of the reigning champion Kolkata Knight Riders.
Nonetheless, according to AccuWeather projections, there is a 40% probability of thunderstorms and a 70% likelihood of rain on the day. This season, the city has already had one rain-affected game, when the KKR vs. Punjab Kings match on April 26 was called off in the middle.
Because of this, the locations for Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator might not change; they will most likely be held in Hyderabad. However, the final and perhaps Qualifier 2 might be moved from Kolkata. Ahmedabad is thought to be the safest choice because of its top-notch infrastructure and sunny climate.
