The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has ordered Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman to leave the Kolkata Knight Riders team due to deteriorating political ties between the two nations.
Nurul Hasan, the wicketkeeper for Bangladesh, has talked about how Mustafizur is getting better following his recent rejection. Nurul, the captain of Mustafizur for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Rangpur Riders, was full of admiration for his colleague.
He claimed that Mustafizur’s disappointment was understandable because the left-armer appeared content and at ease.
“He is calm and relaxed. However, there can still be some disappointment. He earned considerably more before, and he deserves what he has now. However, I believe he is doing well. He appears cool to me,” Sohan remarked during the news conference held after the game.
The 30-year-old pacer persevered despite the off-field setbacks and produced a game-winning spell on Sunday, helping Rangpur Riders defeat Dhaka Capitals by successfully defending 10 runs in the final over.
“We consider Mustafiz to be a top bowler. For a long time, he has been demonstrating that. Everyone believes in him. Everyone is always impressed by him, so there’s nothing else to say,” Sohan added.
KKR is permitted to sign a replacement player.
The pacer, who was born in Satkhira, became the most expensive Bangladeshi player ever to participate in the IPL when KKR purchased him for INR 9.2 crore at the IPL auction late last year. It’s interesting to note that he was the only player from Bangladesh selected in this year’s IPL auction.
Mustafizur has taken 65 wickets at an average of 28.44 in 60 games while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Chennai Super Kings.
The BCCI has stated that they will permit KKR to recruit a substitute player in the wake of this disaster.
