Mumbai Indians’ updated squad for the 2025 Indian Premier League playoffs, should they make it
Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Trent Boult, Hardik Pandya, Karn Sharma, Arjun Tendulkar, Tilak Varma, Naman Dhir, Krishnan Shrijith, Ashwani Kumar, Raghu Sharma, Mitchell Santner, Raj Bawa, Bevon Jacobs, Robin Minz, Deepak Chahar, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Reece Topley, Satyanarayana Raju, Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson, Charith Asalanka
How can MI get into the 2025 Indian Premier League?
Although the Hardik Pandya-led MI has had a wonderful season thus far, their chances of qualifying are slim, and only they can avoid the humiliation of elimination. MI must defeat DC in Match 62 on Wednesday, May 21 in order to guarantee a berth in the playoffs. But if they lose to DC, they should win the following game and hope Delhi loses their final one. Notably, Punjab Kings, who have already qualified, will be the opponent of MI and DC in their final league stage matches.
Given that RCB, presently in second position, and PBKS, currently in third place, lose all of their remaining games, a victory in both games can also guarantee MI a second-place finish. As a result, the competition for the final playoff spot has become more intense, with two teams vying for the same spot, which increased the excitement as the league stage came to a close.
